Citizens aren’t the only ones watching when a small community spends millions to improve internet access. Giant national brands with deep pockets pummel the local market with advertising, door-to—door sales people and TV advertising touting the value of their products. In a two-pronged attack political action committees funded by those same brands to oppose local self-reliance try undermining public confidence in the new municipally owned utility.
We’re not new to these games or the high stakes involving the future of entire communities.
We were with New Hampton Municipal Utilities pre-launch, developing brand presence, planning communications, opening communications, and reinforcing the importance of broadband to fuel New Hampton’s growth and prosperity.
